NK Community Champion Awards 2020 / North Kesteven District Council
We were commissioned by North Kesteven District Council to produce nominee videos for the 2020 NK Community Champion Awards.
Originally due to take place as a hybrid event on October 7th, with a live host at the International Bomber Command Centre, the event was moved to an online only event due to current COVID-19 restrictions.
The original brief was to produce nominee videos for 34 finalists, across 12 categories. Filming entailed visiting each finalist and filming a short (1-2minute) video with them for inclusion in the awards ceremony.
Adhering to our COVID-19 production guidelines, we visited each finalist and filmed socially-distanced with them, outdoors. A handful of interviews were conducted indoors, again following our strict production hygiene procedures.
When it became apparent that it wouldn’t be possible to host the awards as a hybrid event, we worked closely with the client to arrange filming of the awards host – BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Rod Whiting – announcing the categories and winner for each category.
All content was edited to produce an awards package, which was streamed at 7pm on October 7th, simulcast on the Council’s awards website and Facebook page.
Congratulations to all of the winners and finalists. It was a pleasure to meet so many community-minded individuals and groups.
