Aviation Live / Learn Live
Working as technical partner to Learn Live, we provided live streaming services for Aviation Live.
Aviation Live, delivered by Learn Live and Gatwick Airport, is part of Gatwick’s Education Employment and Skills programme, designed to encourage students to take Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects, by demonstrating their relevance to a wide range of careers at the airport.
Broadcast from Oakwood School, Horley, Aviation Live reached approximately 42,000 viewers from over 460 schools across the UK.
We built a truss set, featuring integrated sound, lighting and video playback. The event also featured a point-to-point link from airside at Gatwick Airport, allowing a remote presenter and guests to interact in real-time with the studio presenters and their guests. Utilising LiveU technology, we achieved live video and 2-way audio/comms, allowing an outside broadcast directly into the school.
