Violence Reduction Academy Livestream / NHS England

The Brief

Bright Spark Studios was engaged by NHS England to deliver a live streamed session for the Violence Reduction Academy (VRA) — working with the NHS London Violence Reduction Programme, supporting healthcare-led approaches to tackling violence and trauma.

The session, titled “An Introduction to a Health-Based Approach to Reducing Violence in Communities”, was hosted by Clinical Director Martin Griffiths and brought together expert voices from across the NHS and community sectors.

The goal: to deliver a technically assured, accessible broadcast to engage a wide audience in this vital conversation.

Our Approach

We provided a full on-site live production setup, ensuring seamless delivery from filming to final stream.

Our support included:

Multi-Camera Filming
Three-camera setup to capture the host, contributors and audience interaction — offering a dynamic visual experience throughout the live discussion.

Audio and Lighting
Professional in-room audio support and lighting ensured clarity for both in-person attendees and online viewers.

Live Vision Mixing
Vision mixed in real time using vMix, with titles, graphics and clean transitions.

Bonded Streaming Delivery
The event was streamed via Haivision A220, using our bonded Peplink connectivity setup to ensure a stable stream throughout — independent of the venue’s infrastructure.

Platform Integration
Delivered as a Teams Event for real-time access by healthcare professionals and stakeholders across the UK.

The Outcome

The livestream was a success — reaching a broad audience through the VRA’s online platform and contributing to its mission of system-wide change through a trauma-informed, health-led approach to violence reduction.

Feedback from the client and viewers highlighted the clarity of the stream, the professional execution, and the confidence it gave presenters and panellists throughout.
