Rail Safe Friendly – National Launch Events / Rail Safe Friendly

The Brief
Bright Spark Studios was engaged by Rail Safe Friendly to provide filming and technical support for the national launch of the Rail Safe Friendly initiative — a school-facing programme designed to improve rail safety education across the UK.
Events were held in Northampton, Glasgow and Wrexham, bringing together stakeholders from education, the rail industry and government. Each event featured speakers and panel discussions highlighting the importance of rail safety awareness for young people.
RSF required a discreet, reliable filming solution to capture each launch event for later editing and repurposing across digital platforms.
Our Approach
We delivered consistent filming and audio support across all three UK nations, working with venue staff and Learn Live’s in-house content team to ensure high-quality capture suitable for future distribution.
Key production elements included:
Three-Camera Setup
Filming included a wide shot and a dedicated speaker close-ups to provide flexibility in the edit. Our camera crews worked seamlessly around the live event without disrupting the audience experience.
Audio Reinforcement
Full sound support was provided at each venue, including microphones for speakers and panel discussions, ensuring clear capture for both the room and the cameras.
On-Site Coordination
We liaised with venue teams and RSF's production staff to ensure all sessions ran smoothly, with filming tailored to their post-event content plan.
Event Consistency
By deploying a consistent setup across England, Scotland and Wales, we helped ensure a unified visual style and audio quality for the campaign’s national communications.
The Outcome
The Rail Safe Friendly launch events were well attended — including appearances from Government Ministers — and generated strong interest across the education and rail sectors.
Our recordings are now being repurposed by RSF for ongoing outreach, campaign promotion and educational engagement. The captured footage forms part of a long-term content strategy designed to make rail safety education accessible to thousands of schools across the UK.
