Central London Careers Hub - Creative Careers & Neurodiversity / Learn Live

The Brief

Bright Spark Studios was commissioned by Learn Live to deliver a live broadcast for the Central London Careers Hub, supported by BAFTA, exploring the topic of neurodiversity in the creative sector.

The event aimed to raise awareness among young people about career opportunities for neurodiverse individuals working in film, media, and the wider creative industries. The session was hosted on location at a London school, with a live audience and remote viewers joining via the LearnLive platform.

Our Approach

We provided a full live production setup on-site, ensuring smooth delivery for both in-room participants and the wider online audience.

Key technical elements included:

Multi-Camera Setup
Camera coverage for the host and panellists, ensuring engaging visual presentation for remote viewers.

Audio & Lighting
A dedicated sound setup captured panel discussion and audience Q&A clearly, supported by clean, consistent lighting for a professional look on stream.

Vision Mixing & Streaming
We supplied a full vMix-based Portable Production Unit (PPU) for live switching, with titles and branding integrated throughout.
The event was streamed using our Haivision A220 encoder via bonded connectivity to ensure a stable feed.

On-Site Screens
Additional screens were provided for in-room visuals and stage confidence monitoring.

The 40-minute broadcast featured a panel of neurodiverse professionals working in animation, production, editing, and other creative disciplines — sharing lived experiences and advice for students exploring future careers.

The Outcome

The event was broadcast live on the Learn Live website, reaching schools and students across the region. Feedback from the Careers Hub, Learn Live, and supporting organisations was very positive, with praise for both the content and the technical quality of the production.

The livestream supported meaningful discussion around inclusion, accessibility and opportunity within the creative industries — and demonstrated how hybrid events can reach wider audiences in real time.
